Today was a bit of a landmark day in the planning and prep process for UC Day UK, the one day conference myself and some fellow MVPs/IT pros are organizing. We’ve done it before – the 2015 and 2016 events have been a great success but each year we’re getting better at it and this year looks like it’s going to be the best one yet. Well, I would say that, of course.
The videos will be coming soon, and we’ve had a chance to speak to some of the sponsors and talk about what they bring to the day, chat about why we’re putting UC Day on again this year and why you should attend and of course much more. Before I leave you with a bit of a sneak preview of what we got up to, here’s a few great reasons why you need to keep the 9th October 2017 free in your diary!
- It’s a great opportunity to network with your peers. With the pub quiz the night before, we’ve made it super easy to break the ice over a few beers (or your selected beverage!)
- We’ve picked near Birmingham Airport because it’s very well connected – a short train journey from Euston if you’re based in London, and if you are coming from all over the UK or further afield, not only is there a good rail network, we’ve also got the airport handy five minutes from the venue and we’re at the heart of the nation’s road network, with easy access from the M5, M6/M1, M42 and M40.
- We can bring you the BEST speakers on the subjects you need to know about. The carefully curated sessions by the owners of each technical track (I’m looking after Office 365) are keeping in mind what YOU will need to get skilled up on and we’re picking out the most interesting sessions from people who really know what they are talking about – including Microsoft, MVPs and of course other IT pros.
- It’s open to all! If you are beginning your career or a seasoned IT pro, then there is something for you. Whether you are a system admin, IT technician or consultant – there are interesting sessions you will find valuable. It’s not aimed at elite partners or those doing the most cutting edge stuff. We’ve got sessions for that kind of stuff, but for example, if you are an expert on Exchange looking to move into Azure, Skype or something different you’ll get your deep dive Exchange sessions for what you are doing today and be able to get some basic knowledge on areas you want to move into.
Interested? Join the mailing list to keep updated. Registration opens in June for the event on the 9th October. We’ll have the videos out very soon, but in the meantime, take a sneak peak at what we’ve been doing.
